This week we got our hands on some Amnesia CBD by Herbalogy, a UK-based company operating in the CBD industry and offering a range of CBD-rich cannabis strains.

The CBD flower scene has flourished over the past couple of years as more and more companies and products have been brought to market, bringing a whole host of new flavours, variations and strengths. Italy cracks down on legal CBD cannabis

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Salvini sends a public message to the nation, condemning the proliferation of legal cannabis products.

Italy has always had a complicated relationship with cannabis, owing largely to a political bi-polarity that goes back decades.

Although Italy is one of the greatest consumers of cannabis per capita, it is also the home of the Catholic church and its politics have been mired by a bitter contest between conservative and left-wing groups. This has led to a confused identity for the nation when it comes to cannabis. Earlier this year, there was a general election in Italy, which resulted in an impossible coalition between two populist parties: M5S, an anti-establishment party of mixed values led by Luigi Di Maio and Lega, an isolationist far party led by Matteo Salvini. Salvini, in particular, is a controversial character, having already drawn strong criticism regarding his party’s attitude towards migration and their lack of support for vaccination legislation. Further making his mark, he now turns his outrage towards shops selling legal non-psychoactive cannabis flowers.

Rise in Plant Food Market: More People Embracing Healthier Supplements, Including CBD Oil

More people than ever are embracing natural plant-based foods and health supplements, with a recent study showing that the market now exceeds $3.1 billion.

According to first of its kind data from the Plant-Based Foods Association and The Good Food Institute, the sector experienced 8.1 percent year-on-year growth (2016 into 2017). Rise in Plant-based alternatives Vegan alternatives to dairy products have seen a 20% rise, with plant-based milk rising by 3.1% from the previous year. Alternative yoghurts, in particular, have skyrocketed, growing 56% this past year. Plant-based meat substitutes have also risen by 6%.

About a year ago on the channel, I took a look at some female hemp flowers that had been deseeded and ground, presented in a 30-gram tin. I used this female hemp bud to help me quit smoking, initially using it as a tobacco replacement. But the quality was very low, with stalk, leaf and seed fragments all remaining in the material presented.

Fast forward to this week, and I've got something completely different - some specifically-bred for their quality low THC cannabis buds, still legal in the UK and throughout the EU due to the legal definition of hemp. These buds have less than 0.2% THC, but anywhere between 3.5-10% CBD (The tests on this batch came out 3.58%)

Synergy Extracts DabPro Energise Vape Pen Review

I recently tried the DabPro pen produced and sold by Synergy Extracts on their website www.synergyofnature.co.uk. They offer various flavours and terpene blends - the one I’m sampling for this review is called “Energise” and features a naturally-matched terpene blend of the Golden Lemon and Sour Diesel cannabis strains.

The cartridge contains 500mg of CBD distillate (that’s a VERY pure form of extract) with added terpenes, which are used as a solvent achieving the correct viscosity for the extracts in the DapPro pen.

Meeting CBD Brothers

Last week I travelled up to meet Andrew and Ben, directors of the CBD Brothers company at their base near Bury St Edmunds, UK.
