Mataro Blue Cannabis Strain Review and Information

Last week we travelled to Barcelona for Spannabis. While we were out there, we filmed a strain review with the Mataro Blue strain by Kannabia Seeds.

The Mararo Blue strain combines the genetics of Black Domina x Mazar-i-Sharif x Blue Monster.

Mataro Blue Strain Summary

Mataro Blue is an Indica-dominant hybrid recognized for its potency and rich cannabinoid profile, boasting THC levels between 22% and 23.75% and CBD content ranging from 0.44% to 0.81%. This strain's genetic makeup is a mosaic of influences from Brazil and India, resulting in a complex bouquet of spicy herbal, blueberry, and mango flavours, with undercurrents of berry, flowery, diesel, and sweet notes. Renowned for inducing a profound sense of relaxation, happiness, and euphoria, Mataro Blue is also known to stimulate appetite and creativity, making it an ideal choice for evening use or to unwind after a stressful day. Its medicinal applications are broad, effectively addressing insomnia, stress, fibromyalgia, migraines, and more due to its comprehensive terpene profile including Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Limonene, and Linalool. While its side effects are manageable, including thirst and dry mouth, its growing requirements demand attention, thriving in both indoor and outdoor setups but with a preference for controlled environments to maximize yield. With a flowering time of 67 to 78 days, Mataro Blue rewards patient cultivators with generous yields and a rich, aromatic harvest.

Appearance

This strain doesn't have the best bag appeal but makes up for this with good trichome coverage and colouration, delivering light green hues and glistening trichomes. It looks like more of an Indica Strain, perhaps on the old-school side. It looks a little bit leafier than some of the well-trimmed nugs I've seen out here.
Psycho Citrus Strain Information & Review

This week we are looking at the Psycho Citrus strain, a cross of Psychosis (Clone-only) and Sour Tangie.

We love covering UK-bred cannabis strains like the psycho citrus strain as we believe it is important to show the work of our own breeders and growers who are continuing to develop new genetics while still living under prohibition. This strain is bred by Frosted London Dank, and this sample was grown by The Dead Fox Collective.
