Poda Vaporizer Review

The PODA pod-based heat system, a new entrant into the UK’s portable vaporizer market, offers a unique approach to vaping, sold exclusively by The Hemp Elf. Unlike conventional vaporizers, the PODA stands out for its maintenance-free design, requiring no cleaning thanks to its innovative pod system. The device itself is a sleek, palm-sized rectangular unit featuring temperature adjustments at the base and a USB-C port for rapid charging, embodying a premium feel.
The distinctive feature of the PODA is its use of disposable, yet environmentally friendly pods. Made from compostable materials like cellulose and cardboard, these pods address environmental concerns usually associated with plastic disposables. Designed to resemble cigarettes, the pods are divided into two sections and can be filled with a variety of substances such as weed, extract, or hash, making the PODA one of the most versatile vaporizers on the market.
Heating the device to operational temperature takes about a minute, with a colour-coded system indicating the heating process and temperature settings. Despite delivering excellent flavour, the PODA does not produce large clouds of vapor, a characteristic reminiscent of other compact vaporizers like the DaVinci Miqro. The vapor production varies with the substance being vaporized, with extracts generating more visible clouds than flower. The PODA’s design ensures that each use feels like the first, offering a fresh and clean vaping experience. Its discreetness also allows for inconspicuous use in various settings. Priced at £65, the PODA is available for purchase on The Hemp Elf website, with a promotional discount for buyers.
Sold by The Hemp Elf, the PODA is different from other vapes I have tried, as this one requires zero cleaning due to the design.
The PODA itself is a rectangular battery unit which fits in the palm of your hand. It has temperature notches on the base as well as a USB-C charging point for quick charing. All in all, it feels like a premium bit of kit.
The ‘pods’ are inserted into the PODA and replaced after each use. Fortunately, these disposable pods are actually compostable, made from cellulose and cardboard so you do not have to be concerned with the environmental impact as you would if they were made of plastic.
The pods look a bit like cigarettes, consist of two sections (an outer and inner section) and can be loaded with weed, extract or hash, depending on your preference, making this one of the most versatile vaporisers I have got my hands on.
Heating up the device takes a minute or so; it flashes purple to let you know it is heating up. The lowest temp setting (yellow) vaporizes at 180 degrees Celcius, with 195 degrees for the middle temp (orange) and 210 degrees (best for extracts) for the hottest (red) mode.
The PODA delivers very good flavour, but does not seem to produce big clouds upon the exhale, reminding me of the DaVinci Miqro I tried a couple of years ago. This differed somewhat depending on what I was vaping in the PODA, with extract producing a bigger cloud than flower, as seen in the review video.
A good thing about this device is that it feels like you are using a new or freshly cleaned vaporiser every time you reload a pod. Another positive is the discreetness which will allow you to vape your Pods without detection in places that other vaporisers might get you some weird looks.
The PODA is retailing at £65 in the UK here on The Hemp Elf Website. You can use our discount code ISMOKE10 for 10% off.
