Strain Focus: Marmalade

Another entry in our brand new Strain Focus series, Marmalade had to be one of the first strains I covered for the channel due to my personal love for this cultivar.
The cut of Marmalade known as the Rainbow Candy Cut (discovered by UK grower Dank Growing Farms) is highly coveted and adored by many. The genetics of the Marmalade strain are elusive, making it a sought-after cultivar. Marmalade excels in all aspects, from cultivation to the final product, boasting a robust and unique terpene profile and potent psychotropic effects.
The Marmalade strain is characterised by its vibrant green colour and dark bronze pistils, beautifully offset by a frosty coating of trichomes. Marmalade delivers potent sedating effects coupled with a buzzing cerebral high, making it a powerful hybrid strain best suited for evening use.
Marmalade is an excellent strain for cultivation, with a seed to crop time of 13 to 16 weeks. The frosty trichomes adorning the Marmalade give it a regal appearance, resulting in a striking and resinous bud.
I first tried this shortly after the cut was found in 2016, and I knew back then it was special. Fast-forward a few years and even the breeder of this strain Lady Sativa Genetics has thrown out his own cut of Marmalade in favour of the Rainbow Candy Cut which is dominating the UK and a mainstay in the gardens of Chemdank and Frosted Dank Genetics as well as, of course, Dankgrowingfarms.
The genetics of this strain are Exodus Cheese X ODV 3 (Orange Diesel V3), and I have reviewed it on a couple of occasions including earlier this year, because it was so good I had to cover it twice.
