Gorilla Glue #4 ISMOKE Report & Comparison
Share This Article
Today on ISMOKE we present a double edition of our Strain Review Series – This week Tyler Green is taking a look at Gorilla Glue, and has been lucky enough to get hold of two top-class phenotypes to compare.
Thanks for joining me for another ISMOKE Cannabis Strain review – this was an enjoyable strain to tackle and I was especially lucky to have two types of this strain at the same time to sample.
Background
These strains were each grown by a different group of breeders – Gorilla Glue #4 by Kush Family Collective, another phenotype, possibly (and henceforth referred to as) #2 by B28 Genetics.
Appearance
Both phenotypes of the Gorilla Glue were lovely looking bits of bud. The B28 genetics variety had more visible trichomes but the Kush Family Collective GG #4 looked incredibly similar and was a weightier sample bud at 1.75g.
Smell
Chocolate undertones fill the nostrils upon inhale, both phenotypes of this strain had the same delicious undertone. However, they varied a bit with the smell – the KFC Gorilla Glue #4 was more of a danky smell, while the B28 GG #2 had more of a sweet scent.
When the buds were broken open and ground more of the above was apparent. I also noticed thick resin on my fingers after lightly handling these buds.

Taste
Both varieties of this strain tasted great! I consumed each through my bong, waiting a while in between to better judge the effects. Both bong hits were smooth – the flavour was more apparent through the bong in the Gorilla Glue #4.
Effects
Waiting between the two bongs was a good idea, and I was really feeling the effects after the double bong hit! An enjoyable happy relaxation, I found this a good strain for general use – e.g. could be smoked at any time of day. By the end of the video I was quite clearly inebriated!
Conclusion
Overall I really enjoyed sampling both the phenotypes I tried and found it too difficult to pick my favourite between the two. They were both top-class samples – Gorilla Glue is certainly a memorable cannabis strain!
