Judging the Dopefiend Cup 2018: Results (Breeders Category)

The Dopefiend Cup was a cannabis cup which took place in the UK in October 2018.

The cup was made up of three categories: Growers, Extractors and Breeders. I was asked to judge the latter category featuring some of the top UK cannabis breeders.

My judges pack contained 10 mystery sample bags labelled from 1-10, each containing approx 1 gram of flower.

I was also given a score sheet to keep track of my thoughts on each strain. The rules were that only one stain could be marked 10/10  – no draws were allowed.

I was not aware of the fact while judging, but I was one of only three judges – so every point mattered in this year’s cup.

Overall the quality was outstanding at the Dopefiend Cup 2018, with each breeder delivering botanicals presented better than most flowers you see these days.

I’m talking Cali Import-looking flowers, with dense and trichome-rich nuggets that made my mouth water from the moment I opened the pack.

I took judging these strains very seriously, consuming each in multiple ways to make my decision on the final score.

And eventually I came to my conclusion:
