Every now and then a new product or service launches which is worth looking into. With that in mind, I spoke with the founder of Cannazon, a new legal cannabis marketplace launched at the start of this year.
What is Cannazon Marketplace and why is it an essential new edition to the cannabis community?
Our team is made up of some of the most important people in the industry. We have worked within the Cannabis, Hemp, CBD, Vaping, Smoking Paraphernalia and Head Shop game in every aspect for over 20 years, have long built great relationships with many of the industries biggest brands and are very well positioned to now start bringing everyone together, united on one marketplace.
Cannazon is both unique and one of a kind. No other marketplace like it exists. It has been created solely for the cannabis community and over the next few months as we onboard our first batch of eagerly awaiting vendors, it is set to start becoming the Amazon, eBay and Etsy of the cannabis world all rolled into one. Customers can browse all of our vendors products via individual categories, or their personal Cannazon stores, check out their latest deals and offers via our community forums, put different products from different vendors and stores in to their baskets and then checkout and pay for everything in one single transaction. With so much to choose from you can also add products you want to buy in the future to your personal wishlist.
Every aspect of Cannazon has been custom coded, re-coded and gone through months of heavy pen testing to ensure that the marketplace not only operates smoothly, but is also highly secure in every aspect, from your initial account registration, through to placing and processing orders. Even our buyer and vendor escrow protected payment system has been custom built by our own development team to ensure payments are processed smoothly and only received by our vendors once their customers have received their orders. As time goes on, we plan to introduce a finalize early option for vendors that offer an exceptional service to their customers and keep a 100% feedback score. We want customers on Cannazon to receive an outstanding service when shopping on our marketplace, from all of our vendors and support staff. Customers can therefore leave a detailed feedback score and review of the products they purchase from our vendors too. This further encourages our vendors to keep their standards high. We also have other perks available for vendors that offer a great service including a featured spot on our homepage.
On our journey working within the likes of the Vaping, CBD and Headshop industry over the years, we have tried teaming up with just about every credit and debit card processing company that exists. None of them wanted to process payments for our products long term and we knew that we weren’t the only ones in the same predicament. We have therefore come up with a solution that solves this issue and custom built our very own payment gateway for our marketplace. It operates using the cryptocurrency Monero (XMR). Not only is Monero the most anonymous cryptocurrency that currently exists, fees for transactions are also just a few pence. Customers simply buy the correct amount of Monero from an exchange in their local currency, for instance GBP, EUR or USD and then transfer the Monero they purchased to a onetime address created by the marketplace to pay for their orders. Once payment is received, it is then held in our secure escrow system until the customer receives their order. Once the order has been received and the customer is happy with it, they then mark their order as received and the vendor gets their payment. By having custom built our very own payment system we can also 100% guaranteed our buyers and vendors that they wont have any issues buying and selling on our market. Vendor also can receive payment for orders to any Monero wallet they wish, so if the use an exchange that also offers a free wallet, can then easy convert their payments to any currency of their choice and then withdraw it via their bank account.
We have around one hundred and fifty different product categories on Cannazon. To give you an idea of how broad our category range is, last week I personally onboarded vendors such as “AmsterdamHQ” who’s products range from rolling papers and blunt wraps to CBD products, “Bando Box” who are the UK’s leading mystery box service and “HighCarrotUK” who makes beautiful handmade cannabis inspired jewellery. We also have categories for Seeds, Growing, Cultivation, Clothing and everything in between. At present, many of our vendors have been hand picked by our team and invited to open a store on Cannazon, as we feel they would offer a great service to our customers and be a good fit, however we do have an application form currently open to brands, store owners and those who think they could bring something unique to Cannazon that can be found below.
At present, we don’t allow the sale of products containing THC on the marketplace. We do however plan to change this in the near future on a by country and state based, to ensure that these kind of products are only sold where they are legal to sell and buy. We also want to ensure that, just as we do with our vendors that sell CBD products, are all produced to the legally required standards and certificated.

What else do you have planned for the future?
We are excited to introduce our very own cryptocurrency token as a payment option in the near future. Our token will be available to purchase via popular exchanges very soon and our aim is for it to further revolutionise the way the world pays for cannabis products. We also have two other game changing projects being worked on by our team that we know the community are going to absolutely love, but don’t want to give away to much, so will keep those under wraps for now.
