The genetics of this strain are Berry Split X Sunset Strudel, the same as Kent Valley Kush. However, this is a separate phenotype with distinct characteristics.
Berry Strudel’s sample captured a rich, organic look with plenty of vibrant orange pistils, dark leaf bases, and green tones.
The buds were broader on the stalk than Kent Valley Kush, and leaning towards indica with their stacked bracts.
This sample’s aroma captured berry, earthy, woody and pine notes, with a delicious terpene profile that was different from the separate phenotype Kent Valley Kush. Less gassy and leans towards the Crushed Berries (Budd doctor) strain,
The sample was grown well, organically in living soil, and this meant the smoking experience was smooth and tasty.
The terps came through somewhat through the bong, but more so through my vaporiser. I could taste blue/berry/citrus notes over gas and pine when vaping Berry Strudel.
Delivering strong effects, Berry Strudel hits like a hybrid with a cloudy head high.
This strain is a good smoke for the evening. I found it relaxing but perhaps a little less productivity-inducing than other strains due to a cloudiness that settles in after smoking it.
Overall, this was another great smoke (and vape) from Kent Valley Farms, and I look forward to sampling some of the future breeding projects they are undoubtedly working on.
